Tether Well
Tether Well
In Tether Well you play a well dressed estate owner who only wants to get his long lost family heirlooms back from deep inside an evil infested Well. However, you don't want to get your hands dirty so you find somebody who is willing (or unwilling) to split the bounty with you.
You control this gallant adventurer (who we call Steve) indirectly by raising and lowering a tether that he's attached to.
To retrieve all your family heirlooms, you're going to have to TETHER WELL.
About
Tether Well was created for Brackeys Game Jam 2020.2, where the theme was REWIND.

Great game concept and execution, only bug I encountered was on the last level where the rope got stuck in the wall making it impossible to recover and I couldn't restart.
This was a really neat game idea! Nice job!
Really great game, i went back to replay it with the manual control scheme and i highly recommend playing that way. as it really adds to the tension of trying to winch Steve out as fast as you can
I absolutely love the music and I'm a little upset there are not more levels, id love a much much longer game build on this premise, perhaps some kind of rouge lite where you have to use your gold to buy upgrades that let you go a little deeper each time.
Over all just really great and i would be delighted by a few more levels
Extremely fun, polished, and interactive game. Thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to see you do well in the jam!
Short and sweet, I like the art style.
only one thing I would change.....................
The winding mechanic. I dont want to physically wind a crank to play your game. :p
Having your winding mechanic on lmb and rmb would suffice. It's still you winding that teather. :)
Yeah, I agree. I was already planning to make that an option. Thanks for playing!
